Getting started

FAQs

Why can't I spawn a car?
When you first join you get a VERY cool Turdie Piccolina. That's the only car you can spawn at first.
How do I buy a car?
Tiers are A and B, then numbered up. To buy a car you have to own any car in the tier (and class, A/B) below it.
How do I start missions with E?
Settings, then Keybindings.
What mods does CaRP use?
Discord mod-creators, or the wiki.

Vehicle unlocks

Cars are organised into two classes, A and B, and several tier levels. To purchase a car, you must own at least one car in the same class, and in the tier level below it or higher.

Example: to buy an ETK I-Series in A4, you need something in A3 (a Covet or whatever), and that means you already needed a Miramar or another A1, and so on.

A Pro License lets you take trailer missions. Those are harder and pay more. Some vehicles already have one. Names, prices, and which cars come with a Pro License are on the vehicle price and cargo spreadsheet.

Party commands

Command What it does
/jp, /joinparty, or /joinplayer [username] Puts you in the same party as that player. If they don't have one, it makes one and drops both of you in it.
/joinplayer [partyname] Tries to put you in that party. If it can't find one, nothing happens.
/lp Leave party.
/follow [playername] Join the same mission as them if they started it in the last 20 seconds. This predates the party system.

Money commands

Command What it does
/pay [playername] Gives them $120. That's for crash repair payback and similar, not handing large sums to friends. Get caught doing that and you'll probably get punished.
/bank or /bal Prints your money. The CaRP main menu mostly replaces this.

Mission and vehicle commands

Command What it does
/mission Starts the mission if you're in a mission area. E works too if you bound it, or hit Start Mission in the CaRP main menu.
/abandon Drops the current mission. Handy if your car can't do it, or you need to bail to join a party.
/refuel A little fuel for a higher fee. Only when you need it. You don't need this at fueling stations.
/buy [vehiclename] Buys the vehicle if you're at a dealer (pink/purple marker). Names are on the vehicle spreadsheet.
/prolicense [vehiclename] Buys a Pro License for that vehicle so you can do trailer missions.

Other commands

Command What it does
/help Prints help text in chat.
/discord Prints the Discord invite in chat.
